Co-Founder and Director
Born in Namibia, Ray Schöne completed a B.Sc. degree in Chemistry and Physics at the University KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. He later trained as a naturopathic doctor in Berlin, Germany, focusing on acupuncture treatment and clinical rehabilitation.
Ray has over 20 years of experience of managing non-profit organizations and working in the field of group facilitation and experiential learning, in Africa and Europe.
Co-Founder and Director
US born Alexis Salaman is the co-founder of YOUPSA. She completed a B.A degree in Psychology at Oberlin College, USA. Alexis has over 16 years of experience of managing non-profit organisations, in the USA and Africa.
Prior to co-founding YOUPSA, Alexis was the Director of primary school programming for the NGO “WISER Girls School” in Muhuru Bay, on the shores of Lake Victoria in rural Kenya.
